In honor of the World Series, the SunRiver 4th Branch members, families, and guests wore their favorite baseball shirts/hats -- with Dodger blue well represented. Brother Waddoups threw out the first pitch to Brother Zygner. While feasting on yummy hotdogs with all the trimmings, chili, veggies, chips, and pumpkin and apple pie, we watched video baseball bloopers and played baseball trivia games. Big thanks to social chairs Bryce and Margo Dixon and their hardworking committee: the Arbons, Nichols, Bushes, Gillespies, Bartons and Holly Norton. Everyone had a fabulous time -- no matter who they were rooting for.
Relief Society sisters got together on a brisk fall day for Souper Tuesday. We became better acquainted with some of the newly-arrived members (as well as each other) by spending a few minutes with each sister a la musical chairs. It was so much fun and many hidden talents and secrets were revealed. Huge thanks to Sisters Luke, Olson, and their activities ladies for the delicious soups, chilis, desserts, and for arranging this memorable activity.
