February Gal-Entine's Day 2/14/23

February Gal-entine's Day Celebrating YOU!

Did you feel the love at our activity?

It was a beautiful sight to see so many dressed in red and shades of red.

The antiques table.  How many did you guess correctly?

The centerpieces were so lovely.

The program was so special.

Marlene Simes demonstrates her cute shirt.

One way shows a heart...

...the other way shows a picture of her husband.

Sun River community neighbor Elizabeth Prescott sang 2 beautiful songs to us.

Donna Conder shared 100 years of history with us.

Angie Beirdneau teaches us how to give ourselves a hand massage with cream she made for us.

Lunch is served.  Recipes are below.

What's a blog without a couple of recipes?

Apple Slaw
from Carol Baldwin

1 16 oz bag of slaw mix
2 large apples, chopped
2 green onions, tops chopped (I don't use the white part, but you could)
Briannas Poppy Seed dressing

Mix all together, add dressing to taste, I used 1/2 cup.
I like Granny Smith apples, but you can use anything you like.

Enough to serve about 20 @ 1/2 cup per serving.

Will keep in the fridge up to 4 days.

Chicken Salad

4 cups chopped chicken

1 cup chopped celery

1/2 cup sour cream

1 cup light mayonaise

2 cups chopped grapes

(for crunch add chopped nuts)

mix well and serve.

A sweet Thank you to our Relief Society for another beautiful activity and to all that came to support and enjoy the day.
