April Humanitarian Project

April Humanitarian Project

We gathered together on April 11th to work on one hundred thirty-nine blankets that were donated to the hospital for patients that will feel a sense of comfort as they receive treatment during their stay at the hospital.

Many hands (and scissors) helped to make quick work of the blankets.

Cute and bright patterns of fabric were donated by so many in the ward.

2 Nephi 26: 30
...wherefore, the Lord God hath given a commandment that all men should have charity, which charity is love.

One inch slits were cut into 2 sides of the fabric.  No knots were tied this time.

The finished blankets were bagged so they could be delivered to the hospital.

Fruit, veggies and dip, along with baked goods were the refreshments that were enjoyed after completing the blankets.

Always a huge 'THANK YOU' to Ardis Jensen our Relief Society Coordinator and the Committee that puts together our monthly activities.  We are truly blessed to have such amazing talent and dedication in our ward.

Relief Society Humanitarian Coordinator Linda Peterson provided the following statement:

Thanks to the Sisters in our ward for their
desire to join in the service projects designed to help those in need.
The blankets they completed will give comfort to patients in the local hospital.
It is also wonderful to listen to the sisters as they work on projects and visit. That is a true sisterhood.
We love and appreciate each of you and your willingness to serve.
For this project, we completed 139 fleece blankets for those in need.
With love you,
The humanitarian committee ❤️
