HOW TO DEAL WITH THE DOG DAYS OF SUMMER!
This month
we were excited to start our new “TWO SESSION” Relief Society
Activity. This was done to enable sisters that work or have different schedules
to join us at their most convenient time. The morning session started at 10:30
am and the evening session was at 6:30 pm….
Of course our cute Stacey greeted us with a doggie bag full of nutritious treats.
Our guest speaker was Dr Michael Wimmer. He discussed tips on healthy living. We also received great information, such as:
FIVE REASONS TO GET HEALTHY!
1. Disease prevention
2. Get energized
3. Improve your mood
4. Glowing skin & hair
5. Invest in yourself
“MY PLATE”
information from USDA Center for Nutrition
20 HEALTHY
HABITS TO PROMOTE WEIGHT LOSS
We also learned about GRAZE ANATOMY, SUPER SNACKS & GROW FOODS.
This is Dr Mike's Motto

Thanks to Ardis Jensen, Val Hogan, and other committee members for an educational and fun Activity.
The Relief Society Sisters had a wonderful Activity
We were asked to bring ONE SHOE, to tell an UNUSUAL, FUNNY, or UPLIFTING STORY about when we were wearing the shoe!
Angie brought her temple shoe! She worked MANY hours in the Temple, washing, cleaning, training and serving in her Temple Shoes.
While serving in the Nauvoo Mission,
Donna P. wore Pioneer Dress Boots. She put a lot of MILES on them!
Ardis’s Mother Bronzed Ardis' Baby Shoes. What a special memory for her, as her Mother just passed away at the age of 99!
Barbara brought her Organ Shoes and told a little of her 56 year journey of playing organs in MANY places!
Renae’s ordered "REALLY
CUTE SHOES" on-line, and it turned into a complicated, but really fun story!
Of course we had a scrumptious lunch with Salads and Cupcakes!
MANY pairs of gently used shoes were brought to donate to SWITCHPOINT, as well as socks!
4th Branch Sisters, you are all such great examples of "SERVICE" THANK YOU!
Thank you Valerie Hogan and the Relief Society Activity Committee!
