Be Like Ruth
Bev Hunter - Cherish One Another
This cross represents our love for God.
The vertical line represents our love for others.
In the center of the cross is where we will find the most peace, most love, and be able to return to Him.
Janiel Carter - Watch Over One Another
A few things we can do to watch over one another:
encourage others in their challenges
Smile
Be courteous
volunteer to pick up groceries for a friend in need
give a ride to a friend going to a doctor appointment
go for a Swig!
be a listening ear
bake and share
take a meal to someone
be a good neighbor
and anything else you are inspired to do,
just act.
Sue Rapier- Comfort One Another
Sue told a story about her son tragically passing away. She wanted something to symbolize what her son was like. She thought of a lantern to put on his grave. The lanterns came in a 2 pack. One lantern was placed at his grave and the other her husband had placed in the yard where they could see their sons' light in the dark.
Whenever she and her husband heard of someone close who had lost a child they took them a lantern.
Sue's granddaughters' high school friend passed away. She asked if Sue had an extra lantern.
Sue gifted a lantern and wrote a letter to go with the lantern.
With permission from Sue, here are the words of the letter:
Dear Lori-
I was so sad to hear of Haley's passing. This is a very tender time for families.
This lantern is called Haley's light.
Each evening as dusk falls her light will begin to glow and it will remind you once again that she lives and her light is shining brightly.
I offer my love and support.
Better days will come.
Such a beautiful way to comfort someone.
