"We Don't Waffle"

On Tuesday, August 10th at our Relief Society Activity, we learned about what it means to "waffle" and how we can avoid it.

Inspired by a conference address by M. Russell Ballard, the 4th Branch Relief Society listened to remarks from several sisters reminding us to remain grounded in the gospel. “We don’t waffle” in our commitment to gather Israel on both sides of the veil or to prepare temporally as well as spiritually.  Mary Jo Snyder reviewed ways we can strengthen our missionary efforts. And Ludene Hansen and Lora Sue Allred spoke of conversion experiences in their lives. Christine Fackrell shared her testimony of Family History work and how we can strengthen our efforts in saving our kindred dead. Sue Olson challenged us to organize needed information for our families in the event of our passing from this life to the next.

To finish up this spiritual and practical activity, the talented Relief Society Activity Committee served a yummy-licious waffle bar. We thank them and all who participated in this delightful morning together. And that includes you who attended!

Sister Cameron &
Sister Johnson are our Branch Missionaries!
Thank you for coming 💖💖

Getting to Know You!

 Getting To Know You!

So many new Sisters have moved to the SunRiver 4th Branch over the past year or more!  On Tuesday, June 8th we had a wonderful Activity so we could all get to know each other better.

Shirley Macintosh sang a fun rendition of "Getting to Know You," with Elaine Bryner accompanying on the piano.

We divided into groups and learned more about each other by asking questions?

Yummy finger foods were shared with all!

Sisters were invited to bring an item for the display tables. We were to bring items that showed things we were interested in, so we could learn more about each other.

What a great activity!  It takes a lot of helping hands to make a successful activity.  Thanks to the Activity Committee for all of your service!
