Think Celestial and Me

S.A.V.E.R.S

Being Your Best Self

  • Silence...rest, sleep, peace, calmness,meditate,temple
  • Affirmations...positive thoughts and talk
  • Visualization...images
  • Exercise...movement
  • Read...scriptures, books
  • Scribing...journaling

An area of focus was Silence led by Angie Beirdneau

We quietly walked into the Relief Society room where soft music greeted us as well as the fragrance of essential oils and a beautiful painting that Angie painted the night before our activity.

Where do you find CALMNESS?

We were encouraged to create our own list of what brings us calmness.

Angie taught us a hand reflexology technique to help calm the mind.  Hold the top of your thumb by the nail bed and gently squeeze, hold, and massage it making circles to help your nervous system calm down.

Psalms 46:10  Be still and know that I am God...

Angie led us through a guided meditation that was very relaxing.  Many guided meditations can be found on YouTube.  Or see Angie for more information.

Psalms 1:2-3

But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate night and day.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Another area of focus was Scribing led by Ardis Jensen.

There are numerous ways to journal.  We can use social media, write in a book or electronically,  audio or video recordings, blogging, writing on a calendar, scrap booking, take photos, apps, etc.

Ardis mentions a website called Storyworth that will preserve meaningful moments and memories in a beautiful keepsake book.  Then, you can share the experience with loved ones.  Refer to their website for more information.

Moses 6: 5-6

And a book of remembrance was kept, in the which was recorded, in the language of Adam, for it was given unto as many as called upon God to write by the spirit of inspiration;

And by them their children were taught to read and write, having a language which was pure and undefiled.
