Christmas Social

Branch members and their guests dropped off unwrapped toys for needy children at the Christmas tree before walking into a beautifully decorated winter wonderland. We were treated to a Christmas dinner of ham, baked potatoes, and cranberry salads followed by delicious chocolate cake and pumpkin cake.  Christmas songs were sung and master of ceremonies Russ Hewitt gave a Christmas reading.  We are so grateful to the committee of Santas that arranged this magical evening:  Chairs Larry and Vicky Ricketts with assistants Russ and Carol Hewitt, Pete and Linda Peterson, Jerry and Brenda Turner, and Brenda Haslam.  As we celebrate the birth of our Savior we give thanks for the wonderful fellowship and blessings we share in the SunRiver 4th Branch.

RS Christmas brunch/Service project

Sisters brought gifts of sweatpants for residents of Bella Terra Assisted Living and then were treated to the most delicious brunch of quiche, fruit salad, and buns.  Each table was beautifully decorated with Christmas dishes and ornaments. We learned how to make a variety of lovely neighbor gifts such as candied walnuts, and we listened to the "cookie thief" story.  The brunch closed with a heartwarming movie, The Christmas Dress. A big thank you to Sue Olson and her activities ladies for all their hard work cooking, decorating, and bringing the magic of Christmas to our Relief Society.  And thank you to Linda Peterson for organizing the Christmas sweatpants project.  We are so blessed by these sisters!
