Relief Society Activity --- June

Sisters came together this morning to hear about chiropractic adjustments available in our community.  Of particular interest to many was the stem cell therapy with its advancements and possibilities for various conditions. Our time ended with visiting and enjoying the delicious salad bar.  We were also thrilled to announce the book signing event this Saturday, June 22nd, 1pm to 4pm, at Barnes and Noble, for our good friend Shelley Gray.  Her memoir An American Morning Glory in a Persian Rose Garden has just been published for us all to enjoy.  Shelley focuses on her extraordinary life in Iran where she and her husband lived for 30 years.  We wish Shelley much success in this venture! She is pictured here to the left of Charlotte Williams. A big thank you to Vicki Ricketts and the Activity Committee for arranging the wonderful activity and lunch.  And thanks to Ardis for the great photos and write-up.

Lunch Bunch -- Red Fort

Lunch Bunch ladies went exotic today! The Red Fort, one of the newest eating spots in town offers a cuisine from India and a variety of delicious dishes from lamb, shrimp, and chicken to various vegetable choices and your pick of spiciness.  Everyone enjoyed the new eating experience and no doubt the Red Fort will become a favorite for many of us. Thanks to Loretta for making all the arrangements and a high-five to Ardis for her photos and write-up.

Summer Reading and Recipes

Relief Society sisters gathered in May for a delightful program to get us ready for a fun summer.  Pauline Morello gave ideas for summer reading.  Vicki Ricketts demonstrated how to cook crepes in any non-stick pan.  She also reviewed how to make cream puffs and eclairs.  Sisters were treated to chicken, asparagus and mushroom crepes, strawberry cream crepes and eclairs.  In addition, each lady received a copy of recipes that were served.  Special thanks to Mary Jo Snyder, Kristen Downs, Cindy Hayward, and Susie Tolly along with Paulie and Vicki, for a fantastic activity.
